The Abbey of Genesee is a community of monks dedicating themselves to the contemplative life of worship.

The Bethany house is a stately mansion built by Moses Hayden around 1823. Each women has her own private room, but the common areas (such as parlor, Kitchen, dining room) are shared in silence.
Ouiet, peaceful, beautiful rural setting of woods and farm fields - the loudest sound is birdsong.
Easy access walking to a lovely wooded selection of the Genesee Valley Greenway Trail along the Genesee River.

Structure of the retreat

Throughout the day, your companions will be...scripture, God's creation, your journal, and prayer. There will be opportunity to meet with a director for spiritual direction and prayer
